The AIAA will honor Langley Memorial Aeronautical Laboratory as an AIAA Historic Aerospace Site in a ceremony including Jerry Creedon, NASA Langley Center Director; Tony Springer, Chairman, AIAA Historic Aerospace Sites Committee, Debbie Douglas, former Langley historian, now at the MIT Museum; and Dick Culpepper, AIAA Vice President, Technical Activities and formerly of the NASA Langley Aerospace Transportation Technology Office. There will be a small reception following the ceremony.
The title of Dr. Douglas's talk will be: "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants"
For non-U.S. citizens planning to attend the AIAA Historic Aerospace Site Award event on April 26, 2002 who are not NASA Langley Research Center employees or retirees we are required to collect some information (see bottom of page). Please plan to furnish this information when you RSVP to ensure that you get access to the center.
