- 2001.07.12 - A topic was added that describes an excellent reference; The Art and Skill of Radio-Telegrapy.
- 2001.06.05 @ 1230 The NASA Langley Amateur Radio Club now has a presence on the Internet.
- 2001.04.19 @ 1230 A document listing sites and contacts to take the Amateur Radio License Exam is now available.
- 2001.04.17 @ 1315 A document describing how to obtain an Amateur Radio license is now available.
- 2001.04.13 @ 1800 A list of Southeastern Virginia Amateur Radio Clubs is now available.
- 2001.04.09 @ 2330 The International Space Station has initiated digipeating with UI frames (preferred) in the Amateur Radio frequencies (listen on 145.800 MHz worldwide).
- 2001.03.19 @ 2305 - A link was added to the NRC/HIA Dominion Radio Astrophyical Observatory where excellent 10.7 cm Solar Flux archives are maintained.
- 2001.02.16 @ 1705 - A link was added to Claudio Ariotti's SpaceOnLine. This page has very neat features.

- 2001.02.02 @ 0845 - Additional items/formatting were added concerning the ARISS contact.
- 2001.01.29 @ 1630 - Permission was granted from the Newport News Daily Press to reprint the text article concerning the student contact with Astronaut Commander Bill Shepherd. Permission to use photos is pending permission.
- 2001.01.27 @ 1630 - Preliminary pictures were received from Wally Carter concerning the student contact with Astronaut Commander Bill Shepherd aboard the International Space Station. I was unfortunately out of town during the event. Other media will be made available from this site as soon as it is received and permission is secured to use the same - Jim Byrd.
- 2001.01.26 @ 1700 - Added a link to the Space Weather home page.
- 2001.01.05 @ 1200 - A scheduled contact with Astronaut Commander Bill Shepherd NA1ISS aboard the International Space Station was conducted with childern from several Hampton Virginia area schools in attendance.
- 2000.12.07 @ 1600 - Added a link to the NASA Wallops Flight Test Facility home page. Wallops is involved in aeronautical flight and sounding rocket testing from Virginia's Eastern Shore.
- 2000.12.06 - Note that December 23 2000 marks the 100th anniversary of the first wireless voice transmission.
- 2000.12.01 - ISS reported to be occasionally active on FM voice (145.800 MHz) in ITU Region 2.

- 1998.11.13 @ 05:22-05:26 UTC - Sputnik 41 signal heard & recorded on 145.815 MHz. This file was edited to shorten the content.
- 1998.11.10 - The Mir cosmonauts are scheduled to hand launch the Sputnik 41 mini-satellite during an external EVA on November 11th. You can recieve the signal from this satellite using Amateur Radio equipment or a police-type scanner programmed for 145.815 (approaching) to 145.810 (departing). MHz. More details about the nature of the signals from Sputnik 41 can be found from the AMSAT-France organization.
- 1998.10.23 - Java applet added to aid the mission of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
- 1998.08.25 - The latest path prediction for hurricanes of local interest.
- 1998.08.25 - With respect to preparing for the approach of hurricane Bonnie, if you are willing to participate in public service communications then a good place to start becoming informed and involved is the Virginia State Amateur Radio Emergency Services page.
- 1997.12.19 - Instructions were added on how to obtain a Sputnik 40 QSL card or Diploma.
- 1997.12.12 - Permission was obtained from Richard Stradling of the Daily Press to repost the November 14, 1997 article about Sputnik 40.

- 01/18/1997 - Jim Conrad has supplied a .wav file of Shuttle air to ground communications during the boost phase of STS-81.
- 01/12/1997 - Jim Conrad reports Shuttle air to ground communications are being retransmitted locally on 144.34 MHz.

- 12/28/1996 - Special Announcement added. Students from Granby High and Mary Calcutt Elementary were SUCCESSFUL in contacting Astronaut Blaha upon the Russian Mir Space Station.
- 12/26/1996 - Special Announcement added. Students from Granby high school and Mary Calcutt Elementary school will be guests of the Virginia Air and Space Center where a radio contact will be conducted with US Astronaut John Blaha who is aboard the Russian Space Station Mir.
